ChatJack – your 24/7 AI agent for nCall
ChatJack gives your nCall answering service operation an AI receptionist that can answer selected forwarded calls, keep conversations moving, take accurate messages, and hand callers to a person when needed. It is designed to work alongside your team, helping you extend coverage, smooth out peaks, and protect service levels without changing how nCall already works.
Whether you already run nCall or are evaluating the wider nCall platform, ChatJack gives you a practical way to add AI call handling where it makes business sense.

Why answering services are looking at ChatJack
- Cover more calls out of hours without staffing every shift.
- Handle sudden spikes in volume without sacrificing caller experience.
- Let human operators focus on the calls that need judgement or reassurance.
- Offer selected clients a modern AI-backed service while staying inside the nCall workflow your team already knows.
What ChatJack does
- Answers forwarded calls like a professional virtual receptionist, day or night.
- Uses nCall caller and client context so responses are more informed from the start.
- Takes messages and completes custom nCall forms instead of relying on a rigid script.
- Transfers or escalates calls to a human operator when the conversation needs a person.
- Saves call outcomes, notes, and transcripts back into nCall for review and follow-up.
- Gives supervisors a simple status view so they can quickly see that the service is healthy.
Built for the nCall way of working
ChatJack is not a separate replacement system. It is an add-on for nCall that helps your operation use AI where it is useful, while keeping live operators in control of the higher-value or more sensitive calls. That makes it suitable for new answering services that want to start with a more scalable model, and for established nCall users who want to add AI capacity client by client.
Practical benefits for your business
- More consistent call coverage.
- Less pressure on operators during busy periods.
- Faster response for routine enquiries and message taking.
- Cleaner records inside nCall for supervisors and back-office teams.
- A flexible platform for introducing AI services to selected clients over time.
Safe, controllable, and easy to position
ChatJack is designed for real operations, not demos. You decide where it is used, when it accepts calls, and when it should hand off to a person. It also verifies inbound call events before acting, helping keep the service dependable and secure.
Looking ahead
We are continuing to expand ChatJack with richer caller context, better use of pre-call information, and even smoother hand-offs between AI and human operators. The direction is simple: help nCall users deliver a stronger, more scalable answering service without losing the personal touch.
Frequently asked questions
What exactly is ChatJack?
ChatJack is an AI receptionist add-on for nCall. It answers selected forwarded calls, holds a natural conversation with the caller, takes messages or completes forms, and hands the call to a human operator whenever that is the better outcome.
Does ChatJack replace our operators?
ChatJack is designed to work alongside your team. You choose which calls or clients it handles, and it is built to transfer or escalate to a person whenever the conversation needs human judgement, reassurance, or falls outside what it should handle.
Do we have to move away from nCall to use it?
No. ChatJack works inside your existing nCall setup. It uses the same caller and client context nCall already holds, and it writes call outcomes, notes, and transcripts straight back into nCall so your existing workflows and reporting keep working.
What happens if the caller needs a real person?
ChatJack can transfer the call live or escalate it for a callback, depending on how you configure it. You stay in control of when and how that hand-off happens for each client.
Can it be set up differently for different clients?
Yes. You decide which clients or call types ChatJack handles, and message-taking and forms can be tailored per client, so you can introduce AI call handling gradually rather than all at once.
Is it secure, and can we trust it with live calls?
ChatJack verifies inbound call events before acting on them and is built for real operations rather than demos. You control where and when it accepts calls, keeping oversight with your team.
How do we know the service is running properly?
Supervisors get a simple status view so they can quickly confirm the service is healthy, alongside the call outcomes and transcripts saved back into nCall for review.
Do we need new hardware or a separate platform?
No. ChatJack runs as an add-on alongside your existing nCall installation rather than as a separate system you need to learn or maintain independently.
Do we need a separate nCall licence to use ChatJack?
No. ChatJack runs on top of your existing nCall licensing, so there is no separate nCall licence to buy.
How is per-minute billing calculated after the inclusive time?
Billing after the inclusive period (for PAYG this is currently 3 minutes) is calculated per second rather than rounded up to the next minute, so you are only ever charged for the call time actually used.
Can ChatJack handle more than one call at the same time?
Right now, each ChatJack instance handles one call at a time while we complete further multi-call testing – we expect to lift this restriction within the next month or so. If you need concurrent capacity sooner, additional instances can be run in parallel today, each on its own extension (an extra instance means an extra extension cost).
How do we get started or find out pricing?
